Our talented designers craft both A-framed and flat-roofed structures to create beautiful new spaces that inspire and delight from the outside in.
Think summer house, art studio, music room, gym, library, a teenage hangout, or even a unique holiday let. It can be the perfect space to create a quiet home away from home for some much-needed breathing space - or a really fun place to entertain!
It can also be the ideal solution for working from home — a welcome escape from the kitchen table or box room. For many, a short stroll down the garden as a daily commute feels like a luxury. And what better workspace than one surrounded by greenery, where distractions are fewer and focus comes more easily?
Your Bonni can be designed to do more than one thing, too. With clever planning, it can be both a place to work and a place to unwind — a truly multifunctional room that evolves with you.
As well as enhancing your lifestyle and day-to-day living, a Bonni adds meaningful value to your home. It increases your usable space and can help restore existing rooms back to their best — that spare bedroom no longer needed as an office, for example.
Bonni outbuildings bring new purpose to your garden — combining simplicity and charm with lasting, architectural quality.

As part and parcel of working with us, you will get full creative, structural and architectural support every step of the way.
We will combine ideas and together we’ll build something beautiful that complements your garden space.
Our process makes the experience simple and easy for you. Our Bonni outbuildings are predominantly manufactured offsite, which means that the messy bits are done on our land and not yours.
Doing so simplifies the supply and construction chain, speeds up the time from delivery to completion and significantly reduces disruption at your home. Your Bonni can be delivered to your home for completion within an 8-week timescale.
We are passionate about making the most sustainable and eco-friendly choices where feasible.
The look, feel and impact on people and the planet matters to us and so we work to achieve as close to Passivhaus standard as we possibly can. To do this we use lots of insulation, fresh air, natural daylight, and the sun to create high performing buildings that maintain a constant temperature all year round.
We care about every single product we use, and where they come from. In a drive to be as kind to the environment as possible – and to support local businesses - we aim for our suppliers to be within a 10 mile-radius of Bonni HQ. The sustainably sourced wood comes from Denny’s family firm, just 3 miles away. Windows, doors, paint and metal all come from firms in neighbouring towns and villages. We can’t always get everything we need on our doorstep so occasionally we do have to go further afield to get the best materials. We are continuously working with our suppliers to increase the amount of environmentally friendly and ethically sourced components for our Bonnis.
A Bonni can enhance the workings of your garden with options to add a green roof, guttering and water butts to collect rainfall and a foundation solution which allows rain to run back into the soil. Our outbuildings allow you to choose your preferred method of energy use (solar, wind, biomass), offering off-grid and on-grid set-ups and an ethos of maximum energy efficiency. We can install a combination of technologies such as solar, battery and generators to supply electricity completely off-grid. This is determined by the site, of course.
Whatever you choose, we can create a truly individual Bonni that you will one day wonder how you ever managed without!
Bonni Outbuildings was founded by Denny in 2020 when his dream to escape a high pressure, office-based career was realised allowing him to pursue his true love of rural architecture and outdoor living. Following a life-long love of wood and having grown up with a family timber business – just a few miles away from Bonni HQ - Denny is passionate about sustainability. This lies at the heart of the brand, with each Bonni as close to Passivhaus design as can be and blending with the environment to ensure a timeless, long lasting, and beautifully crafted building. Denny is happiest immersed in nature with Nelly by his side and is very much the maker in every Bonni build.
While Denny is the maker, Koo is the fire lighter, cushion fluffer, tea maker, photo sharer and all-round creator of the Bonni Bits. With a love of English charm and heritage, she is wistful, sentimental, nostalgic, and romantic and this is at the forefront of each Bonni design - ‘there is an excitement to seeing them age and become more beautiful over time’. On hand to help with any design questions you may have, Koo is most likely the one replying to your emails, chatting to you on the phone and inviting you to visit and share a cup of tea. Koo’s warm and welcoming nature ensures that every interaction feels personal, together she will help you to make your Bonni your own.
